Dear Gord:

Thank you or your acupuncture services, which have completely resolved two bouts of what has appeared to be a case of ulcerative colitis. As a 42-year-old businessman, I first visited your offices in October of 1998 in what turned out to be near the end of my first bout of colitis. I was going through the conventional routes of a doctor and gastroenterologist, and in my frustration in the delays, I found through research that acupuncture had been successful in treating cases of this disorder. I then called many western-based physiotherapists in the yellow pages and found out you were the only physiotherapist in Calgary that performs acupuncture for these disorders.

After a sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy, while I was deemed to be clear of a chronic case in mid May of 1999, it inexplicably came back a year to the day in 1999. The gastroenterologist had warned me if it came back it could be a chronic case. I immediately visited your offices and in 3 visits, it once again disappeared completely.

I would certainly recommend your services to other sufferers of this disorder and while it is still undetermined I have the actual disorder and it has been mild cases, the symptoms completely disappearing in both instances cannot be just coincidence. The first bout lasted two months, and discontinued after my first visit with you. The second time it was underway for only about a week, when I visited you and it promptly quit, including the most serious ramification, intestinal bleeding.

You've convinced me, one of the most skeptical people of the benefits of acupuncture. I continue to refer you to other people and will certainly let my doctor know of the benefits for his other patients.

Yours Truly,

Ron
