Gord,
As you are aware, I was diagnosed with cancer last fall. I started chemotherapy in the third week of September 1994. Following the first course of treatment I was prescribed two different types of drugs for nausea. I also found myself with an extremely low level of energy. This fatigue prevented me from doing anything and everything I was accustomed to, such as getting out of bed to have dinner. As a result of this it was difficult, almost impossible to enjoy normal day-to-day conversations with my family.
Following my second treatment regime acupuncture was recommended as a way to boost my energy level and combat nausea as the drugs didn't seem to work well for me. At first I was very skeptical on how a tiny needle stuck in my body was going to make me feel better. As I was too sick to leave the house you came to my home and performed the acupuncture here. Immediately following my first acupuncture treatment I was completely surprised by the results for I felt cheerful and full of energy. I felt like my old self again. I managed to stay awake and alert for much longer periods of time, had very minimal nausea and did not fill the prescriptions that were again prescribed by my doctor because the acupuncture worked much better than the drugs I was previously taking. For each and every treatment I truly appreciated the time you took to personally come to my home and lend your professional assistance when I needed it most.
I am now back to good health and I thank you for everything you did. You helped me get through a very difficult time and changed my perspective on the art of acupuncture. Thanks again, Gord!
