Waffles

Happy internatinal waffle day! Enjoy the recipe posted below and don't forget to check out some yummy topping ideas on the bottom. 
You can change the flour to gluten free if need.


 

Yummy and healthy waffle recipie

 
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour 
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup milk of your choice
  • 3 tablespoons oil or unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
 

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker 
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
  3. In a large bowl, lightly whisk the eggs. Add the milk, maple syrup/honey, oil/melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until well combined
  4. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk gently until combined. Do not over mix.
  5. Grease your waffle maker, and make waffles according to your waffle maker's instructions. 


Topping ideas

  • ​Your choice of friut with maple syrup drizzled on top
  • Egg, spinich and ham sandwiches
  • Yogurt, honey, berries
  • Peanut butter and banana
